Warranty Information

Welcome to Bothwell Trading Pty Ltd (referred to as Bothwell), where we stand behind the quality of our products. Before making a purchase, please carefully review our warranty and returns policy. By purchasing from Bothwell, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Bothwell reserves the right to determine the validity of warranty claims.

1. Warranty Coverage

Bothwell provides a 12-month warranty to the original purchaser, guaranteeing that our products are free from defects in workmanship and materials. This warranty begins on the original purchase date stated on the invoice, unless otherwise specified.

2. What’s Covered

Our warranties cover all structural and mechanical components, including locks, gas struts, hinges, drawers, and drawer runners.

3. Original Purchaser Only

Warranties are valid only for the original purchaser from the date of purchase, as indicated on digital receipts and physical invoices provided with toolboxes.

4. Repairs and Replacements

Repairs and replacements under warranty will be carried out by Bothwell or an authorised repairer. Items must be brought to Bothwell’s working address for service. Warranty repairs and replacements are free unless an on-site repair is requested, in which case a service call fee will apply.

5. Authorised Repairs

Warranties are void if repairs are undertaken by an unauthorised repairer without prior written consent from Bothwell.

6. Product Condition

Warranties apply exclusively to “new” items and do not cover items sold via auction or classified as “factory seconds,” “ex-demonstration,” or “damaged” unless specifically noted in writing by Bothwell.

7. Non-Transferable

Warranties are non-transferable. If an item is sold to a third party, all warranties become void.

8. Agent Claims

Any warranties, whether express or implied, made by agents or resellers on behalf of Bothwell without our knowledge or express written permission are solely the responsibility of the agent or reseller.

9. Claim Requirements

To make a warranty claim, you must provide a valid invoice, photos of the issues, and supporting evidence such as a qualified technician’s report.

10. Exclusions

Warranties do not cover damage resulting from accidents, misuse, negligence, natural disasters, or severe weather events.

11. Return Costs

Customers are responsible for expenses related to returning products to our workshop.

12. Surface Damage

Surface damage, including scratches and rust, is not covered by warranty. Paint or powder coating is considered normal wear and tear.

13. Alterations

Warranties become void if the product is used for an unintended purpose or altered in any way. Customers must remove aftermarket accessories not installed by Bothwell for a warranty claim.

14. Promotional Items

Items given away during promotional periods are not covered by warranty.

15. Theft and Damage

Warranties do not cover theft, attempted theft, or any related damage.

16. Consumer Law

Our goods come with warranties that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty Claims

To initiate a warranty claim, please report the issue to Bothwell directly or via email at info@bothwellcanopy.com.au, providing full details of the product fault and photo evidence.

Bothwell will attempt to repair faults before offering a replacement. If no replacement is available within 14 days, a refund will be issued.

All return freight costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. Illegitimate warranty claims will incur all associated costs.

Delivery Information

Bothwell aims to assist customers with delivery arrangements. We recommend purchasing transit insurance to safeguard against any loss during transportation.

Orders finalized before 10am on business days receive same-day dispatch. Ensure that your order details, including contact numbers and delivery address, are accurate to avoid delays and additional fees. We do not ship to PO Boxes.

Customers assume responsibility for items during transit. Please secure your items to prevent loss or damage once they are in your possession.

For self-organized freight and insurance, Bothwell has no obligation to follow up on cases, and no fees will be charged. For Bothwell-provided freight services and insurance, we will handle claims and complaints on your behalf.

Delivery times vary by location, with up to 12 business days possible. Contact us if you have not received your order by this time. Extra time may be required during holidays.

Order shipments occur upon payment processing, which may take several days depending on payment type (PayPal or credit cards via PayPal). Bothwell strives to meet estimated delivery dates but acknowledges they are approximate.

Bothwell delivers to the address provided at the time of ordering. Notify us immediately if the address is incorrect. Additional fees may apply for shipping to an incorrect address.

Inspect items immediately for significant damage upon receipt. Contact us promptly to report any issues and avoid delays and additional costs.

Returns & Refunds

Returns require prior consent from Bothwell. Customers are responsible for any return freight cost. We reserve the right to apply a 10% restocking fee if the returned product’s condition affects our ability to resell it.

We accept returns up to 7 days after the original pick-up or delivery date. All returned items must be in their original condition. If a return is necessary, our customer service team will arrange collection of your item.

Holding deposits for stocked items are non-refundable.

Deposits for custom-designed products are non-refundable once construction has begun.

Present proof of purchase (e.g., receipt or invoice) when making returns.

Proper packaging is essential to prevent damage during transit; any damage incurred during transport is not Bothwell’s responsibility.

Bothwell is not liable for lost items during transport.

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method (e.g., PayPal).
